I worked on the painting a little more. It’s not finished, but it’s coming along. I hung it up next to the one I worked on last week so I could see what I like + don’t like about them.
I started working on a new little painting this morning. 8 x 9 inches acrylic on panel. I was just sort of blocking in the mid-tones, I like the weird state it’s in now, without much contrast. who knows if I’ll ever finish it.
elliott-e-cooke asked: damn dawg that is one fine ass painting. You should paint more!
thanks! i’m planning on it. i hadn’t painted in a long time and it feels good. I really appreciate the encouragement, i’m glad you liked it.
when i was a kid i made a couple of comic books about a mushroom man that was the size of a mushroom and went on adventures. so like he would climb up on top of salt and pepper shakers like they were the size of a car or whatever. jump over to a spoon, flip off of it and hide in a coffee cup, etc. mostly he went all around the house i grew up in doing things.
i haven’t thought about that stuff in a loooong time. anyhow, it fogged into my head just now. idk. so i thought i would draw an updated version? make him much more realistic. i like it. who knows, maybe i’ll do something with it.
